The Village of South Barrington requires permits for most remodeling work — additions, interior renovations, decks, driveways, electrical and HVAC upgrades, roofing, and similar projects — handled through its Building and Engineering office, with the permit card displayed in a window on site while work is underway. The Village places responsibility for securing permits on the property owner, and inspections are handled by the Village. GS Construction manages the full permit process for you, from application and plan submittal through final inspection.
