Inverness permits & building codes for basement remodels
The Village of Inverness requires permits for construction of any type — remodels and alterations, plumbing and electrical work, basement finishes, additions, even septic tank replacement — reviewed under the 2015 family of international codes with village amendments. Applications are submitted in person at the Building Department on Baldwin Road, by appointment only, and initial plan reviews normally run about ten business days, with longer waits during the March–September peak season. Where a homeowners association governs, village approval is also contingent on HOA sign-off. GS Construction manages the full permit process — drawings, submittal appointment, HOA coordination, and inspections — on every Inverness project.
