Exterior projects also need an up-to-date plat of survey and certificates of insurance for every contractor naming the Village as additionally insured. Uniquely for Riverwoods, removing any tree or shrub larger than 1.5 inches in diameter takes a separate Tree Removal Permit reviewed by the Village Ecologist, and no more than 20 percent of a lot's protected woodland may be removed. GS Construction manages the entire permit process — building application, plans, tree review, and inspection scheduling — from start to finish.
