Park Forest permits & building codes for remodeling projects

Remodeling permits in Park Forest run through the Village's Building & Community Development Department, with a building permit required before structural, electrical, or plumbing work begins. The Village also requires every contractor to hold an annually renewed Park Forest contractor's license, and when the contractor applies for the permit, the Village asks for the homeowner's signature on the application or proposal.
